TRAILER ANALYSIS.
The film is made in Spain so i think that they have taken some dialogue out for the English trailer.
The beginning of the trailer shows a black-out, then suddenly a night vision camera comes on and a girl falls to the floor. This instantly makes the audience jump and shows that the character is in danger. Camera disturbance makes the film look realistic and when the woman suddenly gets dragged away, this again shocks the audience. There is no sound until the woman gets dragged away. The sound is Non-diegetic and high pitched, emphasising the sudden movement.Text then appears in the style of a secret operation and it also looks computerised. We can tell this because the text says "operation timeline" and the camera time is set. This creates a sense of realism to the trailer.
Then a clip of some soldiers are shown, they have their own cameras. Again making it seem like a military operation and informs that audience that it must be something important.

More text appears in the computerised style and the camera seems to be handheld. There is no apparent music but small sinister sounds emerge every now and then. The fact that there is no music makes the trailer seem eerie because the audience don't know what is about to happen.
The camera then cuts to long shots and close ups of the soldiers entering a sectioned of building. This shows that they on a dangerous misson.
A quick black-out occurs and then a loud noise and a man kicking down a door appears, which shocks the audience. More black-outs happen and small high pitched sounds emphasise the action.

Some text appears saying "they were sent to contain" The text is of a simple font, however the background of the text looks like a petri dish with bacteria moving inside it. This relates to the film because it is about a deadly virus.
The next piece of text says "terrifying virus" When the word terrifying appears there is a Non-Diegetic sound effect which emphasising the word. After the text a soft sound (which sounds like the shining theme music) builds up, creating suspense for the audience.

The camera then cuts to a soldiers camera, whilst he is moving along the corridor, which creates a realistic effect. His camera pans to a door and an arm is flung through it. A screeching sound is added to emphasise the horror and shock.
We then see close ups of the solider running away and finally he runs into another camera and causes it to pause as we see what looks like he is screaming. The camera finally cuts out to black.
Flashes of religious images appear which implies that something may be possessed by the devil. Some of the images are distorted and u
pside down which could imply the panic of the soldiers.A montage of images appear including pauses, close ups and screaming. After these we see a mid close up of a solider trying to open a loft door. As we expect something to jump out, it doesn't, causing the audience to feel uncomfortable.
A 5 star review is shown saying "you wont sleep after watching this" which creates a good energy for the film and encourages audiences to watch it.
We see a close up of a solider and two others behind him. He looks as if he is talking and suddenly a quick flash and a zombie like creature emerges from the ceiling. There is a distorted scream which accompanies it, creating more of a shock for the audience.
There is a lighting like effect which flashes dramatically which creates a terrifying atmosphere.
The next few clips have a photograph effect on them, pausing at the end of each clip for a split
second. This could represent how stunned the characters are.At the end of the trailer, night vision is used which looks very realistic and creates an interesting effect for the trailer.
