In my horror movie, i would go against the stereotypical roles of the woman being the victim and actually make the man the victim and the woman the killer. I think that this would be interesting because there isn't many films like that out there.
The basic outline of my film.
- Small girl's (10 year old) mother suddenly dies and the Father has to look after her.
- The Father turns nasty and abuses the little girl for years. She feels that she can't speak to anyone because she is so scared what he would do to her.
- The abuse carries on until the girl is 15 and she commits suicide because she can no longer take anymore.
- The father forms a new life with a woman and child.
- The daughter comes back to haunt the father because she is so angry at what he has done.
- She plays with his mind and scares him so much that he is distraught and finally admits to killing his first wife.
- He is taken to prison and the hauntings stop, or do they?
I wanted to end my horror on a cliffhanger because i think that it leaves the audience to think more deep into the story and it lets them create their own interpretations.
